Deagan Lief (Coach)

Hi, my name is Deagan Lief.

I am 22 years old and have been teaching martial arts since I was 16 years old, certified as an instructor at 18.
I have always loved sport, which I did a lot of at school and college.

I studied Physiology, Human Anatomy and Sports Coaching at college. This has been extremely beneficial to my Martial Arts journey and for my business.
I took Martial Arts as an extra curriculum during my studies, because I excelled at it I decided to take up coaching as an instructor. Teaching something I was good at became my first love and plan to teach for as long as I possibly can.

My Martial Arts Journey

It all started when I was 13 years old when I started Taekwondo and fell in love with it immediately. I got pretty good at it early on and started competing locally and nationally, medalling 1st consistently.

I’ve been training in Taekwondo for about 7 years and received a 2nd degree black belt so far. I have now decided to focus on other styles of martial arts.

Half way through my Taekwondo training journey, my instructor introduced me to Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and I have not looked back since, receiving my purple belt in march 2024. During that time training continuously in other disciplines, I gained a large amount of experience in boxing, K1 kick boxing and now MMA.
